Location: 900 Sunnyside Drive, Old Powerhouse Site
Hall Center Groundbreaking
Please join us to see the first stone set and to tour the old site before the new center emerges. The new construction promises to be an exciting project in preservation of the old KU campus, and will add a landmark of architectural distinction at the south-eastern corner of campus.
The new two-story building will have approximately 11,000 square feet of space and will include a 120-seat conference room, a seminar room, and offices for Hall Center staff and humanities research fellows.
Principal architect for the Hall Center project is James R. Calcara of CDFM2 Architecture Inc. of Kansas City. A campus building committee, chaired by John Gaunt, Dean of the School of Architecture, is providing oversight.
