Douglas Armato will speak about academic publishing at a lunchtime meeting on Thursday, January 26 in the Hall Center Conference Hall. Armato has worked in scholarly publishing for over 25 years and is currently Director and Editor-in-Chief of the University of Minnesota Press. Prior to joining Minnesota in 1998, he was Associate Director and Book Division Manager at the Johns Hopkins University Press. In 2004-05, he was President of the Association of American University Presses and he is currently serving his second term on that association's Board of Directors.
