Visiting Interdiscipliary Scholars Program presents a series of public lectures on Justice, Human Rights, and the International Order.

Brian Barry is currently A. A. Saltzman Professor of Political Science and of Philosophy at Columbia. He is the former Professor of Politics at the London School of Economics. As reflected in his appointments, his interests and writings also cross disciplines. Barry is the author of a number of well-known books on political justice, including Democracy, Power and Justice: Essays in Political Theory (1989); Theories of Justice (1989); and Justice as Impartiality (1995). He has also written a number of recent articles on international economic justice.

Brian Barry is a Hall Center Visiting Interdisciplinary Scholar in Spring 2002.
