In 2009, de Botton founded Living Architecture, a non-profit architectural firm.  With the goal of introducing people to innovative forms of architecture, the firm builds affordable vacation homes in the UK designed by some of the world's most renowned contemporary architects. "Living Architecture: A Conversation with Alain de Botton" is an informal question and answer session on this topic that is free and open to the public.
