The 7th Annual Great Plains Infectious Disease Meeting will be held Saturday, September 13 on the main campus of the University of Kansas, Lawrence. Registration will begin on the second floor of the Adams Alumni Center at 8:30 a.m. Welcome comments will occur at 9:10 with the first speaker to commence at 9:20 a.m.

Thanks to our sponsors, registration for this year’s GPID is again free. However, please complete the registration form and email to pickingw@ku.edu so that we can have an accurate count of attendees.

Abstracts and Posters

The deadline for poster abstracts is Friday, September 5, 2008. Please email them as a word document to pickingw@ku.edu. Arial 12 point font is preferred. Title, authors, institutional affiliation, email addresses of Presenting Author AND Principal Investigator, then abstract is the preferred format.

Please be prepared to put your poster up at lunch. The main poster session will be on the first floor from about 4:45-6:00 this year. Poster boards will be provided and are about 3’ × 5’.

Accommodations

A list of hotel accommodations can be found on the hotel map. Directions to the Alumni Center can be found on the KU map. Parking is available in the parking garage across the street from the Alumni Center (see map).
