In 2009, a delegation visiting Eutin in June and an Eutin delegation in Lawrence in October celebrated twenty years of fruitful cooperation. There was a focus on successful exchanges in a number of areas, such as the high school exchange, music and arts exchanges, and exchange of interns. There was also an effort to expand the internship program.
