Can I get a scholarship?

The department does administer some scholarships and awards for its majors, especially for students studying abroad, either at a Summer Language Institute in Germany or at a university in a German-speaking country. These scholarships typically range from $500 to $5,000. Some smaller awards are set aside to recognize students for classroom excellence. Contact the department if you want more information.
