Annica Schuett had several jobs during her six months in Lawrence. Her job at first was at the Max Kade Center, where she entered data for the Alexander von Humboldt digital library. This work was important for us; it helped complete the entry of all English texts and important botanical information into the system. As you can see, her work is recognized on the Web site of the digital library:

The building of the Max Kade Center is next to the University of Kansas radio station. We were able to arrange for Ms. Schütt to work at the radio station for Sheri Hamilton, a person who is active in marketing
work for the radio station. Ms. Hamilton has often praised our intern’s contributions. This experience also broadened Ms. Schutt’s expressed interest in marketing and event management.

For a brief period Ms. Schütt was also able to do work for the Lawrence Chamber of Commerce. This work also had to do with event management.

Finally, for an extended time Ms. Schütt had a successful internship experience at the catering service of Mr. Steve Maceli. This appointment opened opportunities to work in a number of areas that were of special interest.
