Linguistic Atlas of Kansas German Dialects

Project Goals:

• Collect and preserve samples of spoken German in Kansas
• Identify the major characteristics that differentiate the many varieties of German spoken in Kansas
• Present maps to show where German was/and is still spoken in Kansas
• Digitize samples of recordings and make them available through WWW access.
