ADVISING

At the time of first enrollment in the Graduate School, students will consult individually with the graduate director of the Department, who will discuss their academic plans with them and serve as their graduate advisor during the first year. Subsequently, during advising periods the students will confer with their advisor and arrive at an appropriate schedule of courses. Beginning with the second year, students will work with a faculty advisor chosen by the student. Students should never hesitate to approach faculty members for counsel about their academic standing.
