GeoClub

GeoClub is open to undergraduates, graduate students, faculty and staff. The purpose of GeoClub is to encourage informal social activities related in some way to the field of Geography. Activities vary depending on membership and may include field trips, movie showings, information exchange about upcoming events on campus and networking with Geography Department Alums.

Geography Graduate Student Organization

The Geography Graduate Student Organization promotes service and community among all members of the Geography Department. Each year, the organization is a sponsor of the Globe-O-Mania competition held during Geography Awareness Week, as well as the departmental International Lunch. The organization also purchases materials and equipment for use in graduate teaching and research. Current holdings include a DVD player, camcorder, voice recorder, and videos. Any graduate student wishing to use these materials should contact the organization at geoggso@ku.edu. Membership is open to all current Geography graduate students.

AMS Student Chapter

There is a student chapter of the American Meteorological Society, which is open to anyone interested in meteorology. The chapter sponsors social and career-related activities. Meetings are announced in atmospheric sciences classes and through email.
