I'm interested in the role that resources play in the transition process in post-communist countries. My focus is on the post-Soviet states of Central Asia, with an emphasis on Kazakhstan.
My interests also include democratization theory and Turkic cultures. When not wrapped up in research, I can usually be found trying out new Turkish and German recipes and traveling at every available opportunity. |
