I currently make navigational road maps that are used within in-car navigation systems and also online maps (Google, Yahoo, MapQuest). I earned my B.S. with an emphasis in GIS from KU while also focusing on Remote Sensing. My degree provided me with opportunities to build analytical skills in relation to maps and GIS. I was also able to gain hands-on experience through undergraduate research under Kevin Price at the KARS facility (Kansas Applied Remote Sensing). The KU Geography program provides students with a base for analyzing geographic data.
