David has been with NAVTEQ for 15 years and during that time has extensive experience in the field of digital mapping. He has held many different positions while at NAVTEQ dealing with GIS, GPS and has participated in many data collection projects while working for NAVTEQ. He has managed numerous GIS database update projects in the digital mapping operations division while utilizing geospatial technologies in the US, Europe and Mexico. He now is involved with project management for the Global Content Management team at NAVTEQ that oversees digital map update projects all over the US Canada and Mexico. His professional interests include GIS, cartography, geography, meteorology, telematics, global positioning systems, personal navigation devices and geospatial technologies. He is a member of NSGIC, Mid America GIS Consortium and GIS-T . David lives in Olathe, KS and in his spare time likes to travel, chase severe storms and tornadoes, read and study US history specifically dealing with the US Civil War and the Cold War, photography, and collect old oil company road maps.  Please feel free to contact him with any questions or career insights.
