B.G.S.. Geography, 1995
Please feel free to contact me for career insights.
It took me a few years to find the path, but in 1998 I began a career in commercial real estate investment and later completed my MBA in Finance. I am an acquisitions and financing analyst and for a company that owns and manages over $700 million of multi-family communities in Arizona, California and Washington. I analyze dozens of investment opportunities monthly all across the West Coast. The location and land use analysis is a key component of the investment story. For example, we recently acquired two properties based on walk-to proximity to rapid public transit, including one property in the Seattle area where the first light rail system is on track to be completed in 2009. I am a geographer at heart and my geography degree provides me a wonderful tool set to think about how people interact spatially with their environment and how that translates into investment opportunity. Commercial real estate and the emerging field of "green" development is a wonderful
cross discipline industry for geographers that I would love to talk to anyone about.
