My area of emphasis as an undergraduate was performing space-based Earth resources research at the Remote Sensing Lab. I spent 20 years in the US Navy as a pilot and as an Astronautical Engineer - working on space-based remote sensing systems. I now work for Ball Aerospace as an Advance Systems Manager. Our company has a long legacy of designing and manufacturing space and airborne remote sensing systems, including systems to observe the atmosphere and oceans. I work with teams of engineers and scientists to develop sensors and processing software to characterize the atmosphere or derive atmospheric information out of data that was not intended to produce that information
