Byron "Doc" Augustin is a KU geography alum (M.A.). He was also my undergraduate advisor at Texas State and a huge part of the reason I decided on KU over other schools. It's always nice to see Jayhawks doing well.

Since August 2006, Jason Woods (M.A., 2006) has been working with Paz y Esperanza, a human rights NGO in Lima, Peru, through the Young Adult Volunteer program of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.).

Shaklee YSU professor Ron Shaklee (MA 1979, PhD 1983) strums his guitar on campus. Shaklee is the author of a song called “The Living Jewels of the Land, the Sky and Sea,” which has been recorded and released for play in the Bahamas.
