|
David has spent the past four years working for John Wiley and Sons, Inc., located in Hoboken, NJ, as their Director of Business Intelligence and Financial Systems. His role is to develop and implement strategies, direction and vision for the analytic capabilities to the company at all levels. David and his team are responsible for engagement management, requirement gathering, design, support and training on projects/systems that host/deliver analytic capabilities leveraging the centralized data warehousing for corporate data in the financial, planning, fulfillment, sales, and digital analytics areas, and support a global base of 2,000 users. Previously, David worked for eight years for Realogy/Cendant as an IT Director managing a technology team responsible for the database, business intelligence and financial systems for the real estate systems related to Coldwell-Banker, Century 21, ERA and Sotheby’s. His prior experience includes almost four years at Deloitte Consulting in Kansas City and a year at DASC at the Kansas Geological Survey. While his career has taken him further away from his GIS roots, he has been excited to see spatial analytics becoming more mainstream in many of the decision support tools across many of these companies. He graduated from the University of Kansas in 1992 with a BA in Geography, and attended graduate school there as well. David and his wife, Connie, currently live in Jersey City, NJ and enjoy spending their spare time in the NYC area, traveling around the world, collecting cards/coins and playing golf. |
