This image of Lawrence, Kansas was taken at approximately 80,000 ft. in altitude from a weather balloon launched in Topeka and recovered near Bonner Springs. During the flight, over 600 images were captured of the Kansas landscape, atmosphere, and beyond. The images were part of a Remote Sensing class project in the KU Department of Geography.
