Ms. Madlock has been working at Educational Talent Search as the High School Academic Advisor since August 2004.

Ms. Madlock is very excited to work with the 9^th, 10^th, 11^th & 12^th graders at J.C. Harmon, F.L. Schlagle, Sumner Academy, Turner, Washington & Wyandotte High School. Ms. Madlock has a lot of new and exciting plans for the academic school year. This year, Ms. Madlock will be conducting workshops at the high schools as well as eating with the students during Talent Search’s Eat & Greet. Ms. Madlock wants the high school students to know that she is a first generation college student and she is a firm believer in the power of education!

Ms. Madlock was born in Maywood, Illinois. She attended Illinois State University and earned a B.S. in Biological Sciences in 1993. Ms. Madlock is pursuing her Masters Degree in Exercise Science at the University of Kansas.

Ms. Madlock enjoys playing volleyball, basketball & softball during her free time. She also enjoys hiking, camping and fishing. Ms. Madlock was the assistant women’s volleyball coach at The University of Kansas from 1996 until 2000.

Ms. Madlock believes her favorite part of working at Educational Talent Search is interacting with the high school students on a daily basis. Ms. Madlock will be helping students decide on their career choices, college plans, locating scholarships and much more over their four years of high school.
