The KU Upward Bound Math and Science Center is a TRIO college preparatory
program for low-income/first generation high school students in
Douglas, Shawnee, and Wyandotte counties.
The program
began at KU in 1995 and since that time has helped numerous area
students overcome obstacles to enter higher education.
Participation in the Math and Science Center strengthens students'
academic achievement in high school, increases exposure to Math
and Science careers, and prepares students for postsecondary
success.
