| The 2007 MSC Bridge students
were rewarded for their hard work this summer with a 3 day trip
to Washington D.C. in July. During the Bridge Program this
June, the students lived on the KU campus and took KU summer
classes. All five students are recent high school
graduates and worked hard to earn scholarships and financial aid
for college. The D.C. trip featured visits to the
Washington Monument, the Smithsonian, the Library of Congress,
and the National Zoo. The MSC students were joined on the
trip by eight Bridge students from the Upward Bound Program and
4 staff members. Here are
pictures from the trip.
The students who attended are listed below with the college that
they will attend this fall:
Micaela Anglin (Donnelly College), Kara Barajas (The
University of Kansas), Desiree Marmon (William Jewell College),
Werner Nelson (Creighton University), and Dayonne Richardson
(University of Missouri-Kansas City). |
