Eight Students Selected to Receive the 2008 MSC Bridge Program Scholarship

The KU Math and Science Center recently selected eight graduating seniors to receive the 2008 Bridge Program Scholarship.  The Bridge Scholarship pays for tuition, fees, room and board, and books for students to take two KU classes this June.  This program is designed to allow students to make the transition from high school to college in a supportive academic environment.  All of the Bridge students will take The Black Experience in the Americas from professor Shawn Alexander.  The students will also take one elective class of their choice.

At the conclusion of the Bridge Program, students who have successfully completed the program will be rewarded with a four day expense paid trip to Boston, MA in July.  The eight Bridge students are listed below with their high school and the college that they will likely attend in the Fall.
