We were also pleased to also host writers-in-residence Bob Day (The Last Cattle Drive) and Gary Lutz (Stories in the Worst Way).
Prize-winning Somali novelist Nuruddin Farah and U.S. Poet Laureate Ted Kooser highlighted last year's schedule of visitng writiers at KU. Other visitors last year included fiction-writer Michael Parker (Hello Down There), poets B.H. Fairchild (The Art of the Lathe) and Todd Marshall (Dare Say), fiction-writer Sam Lipsyte (Homeland), and senior Algonquin editor Kathy Pories. We were pleased to also host writers-in-residence Bob Day (The Last Cattle Drive) and Gary Lutz (Stories in the Worst Way).
Featured writer this fall will be short story writer & novelist Kellie Wells (Compression Scars, Skin), who will be visiting KU in October.
Kansas Poet Laureate Denise Low will be serving as writer-in-residence during the spring semester, 2008
