The KU Alumni network is 284,000 strong, with nearly 75,000 just in the Greater Kansas City area. KU Endowment Association
KU Endowment is the official foundation for raising and managing private funds on behalf of KU. Their motto is “To create a greater university than the state alone can build.” The support that donors provide helps make KU a world-class institution. State financing covers only about 24 percent of KU’s total operating expenses. Therefore, private gifts play a major role in virtually all activities of the university.
