KU Student Housing – Smart Choice!

Opening Day!

August 17 will be hot and hectic, full of lines and traffic. Patience is the key.

1. Park away from the building until you complete registration materials.
2. Collect your room key and complete a move-in inventory.
3. Drive closer to the building entrance and unload, leaving someone with your things as you park in a permanent space away from the building entrance.

Our main telephone number is (785) 864-4560, feel free to use it!

The Student Housing office in Corbin Hall will have extended hours 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on August 13, 14, 15, & 18 to help with questions and answers.

You'll have a great time at the housing-sponsored activities during Hawk Week. Details are available at check-in. Your guide to campus wide Hawk Week events is right here!

With such a wide variety of living options, you'll get involved and begin making new friends right away. Living near the center of campus is the best and easiest way to connect with a diverse mix of people.

Our Mission

Building excellent communities through individual support and respect

Our Central Values

Safety is Key

Security is a top priority in all our communities. Our residential units are locked 24/7 and Student Housing staff are available around the clock to help maintain a safe environment. For important information about safety, be sure to read the "Safety & Security" section in the Housing Handbook.

The annual security report about KU safety policies, crime statistics, and campus resources is also available at www.ku.edu/safety or by contacting the Office of the Vice Provost for Student Success, 133 Strong Hall, (785) 864-4381.

The University of Kansas also requires a meningitis vaccination for students living on campus. The full policy is available at the KU Student Health Services website.
