Daily Kansan a top 10 college newspaper
The Princeton Review has named the University Daily Kansan to its top 10 list of best college newspapers for 2012.
KU's program in the William Allen White School of Journalism & Mass Communications was ranked No. 6 behind Penn State, North Carolina-Chapel Hill, Yale, Brown, and Wisconsin-Madison.
Rounding out the top 10 were Maryland-College Park, Florida, University of California-Santa Barbara, and Georgia.
The Kansan began semi-annual publication in 1904 and became a weekday newpaper in 1912.

Daily Kansan named 2012 "best college newspaper" by advertising group
The University Daily Kansan was named the Best Newspaper of 2012 by the College Newspaper Business & Advertising Managers. The Kansan also won the award in 2011.
The award was for newspapers with circulations of 30,000 or above.
The Kansan also took first place for newspaper promotion ad, group promotion (classified 0r ROP), training program, and best student designer, Graham Greene.
