PSYC 692: Test Theory (4)

This course begins with recommendations for how to write a test, covers basics of classical test theory, and then emphasizes modern statistical methods for analyzing item data. Methods include factor analysis of categorical responses, methods for identifying measurement invariance (differential item functioning), and item response theory. Approximately one-half of the meetings are labs (primarily consisting of data analysis). The course is offered at the 600 and 800 levels with additional assignments at the 800 level.
