NRSG 806: Advanced Physiology (4)

This course is designed to lead to an advanced comprehension of the physiology of organ systems in the human in both cellular and organ processes. Physiology subject matter relevant to clinical health sciences include membrane transport, muscle, cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, water and electrolyte balance, gastrointestinal, and endocrine physiology as well as neurophysiology. Cellular mechanisms include the structure and function of ion channels and pumps, mechanisms of calcium regulation, excitation-coupling processes and mechanisms of oxidative cell damage and apoptosis.
