HA 783: Edo Period Painting (3)

A survey of painting in Japan during the Edo Period (1615-1868), arranged by the many schools and styles of painting that were brought to a height during this era. Ink painting, Zen painting, decorative painting, naturalistic painting, literati painting, and court painting will be included. Prerequisite: A course in Japanese painting or consent of instructor.
