D.P.T.-Ph.D. Combined Degree Program

The combined degree program allows outstanding students to work toward both the professional D.P.T. degree and the Ph.D. degree in rehabilitation science concurrently. This program allows students to begin research work in the laboratory and identify a research mentor at an early stage, while they are taking course work in the D.P.T. program.

Qualified students must declare their desire to be considered for the combined degree during the admission process. Students must meet the admission requirements for the individual D.P.T. and Ph.D. programs. To receive both degrees, students must meet the requirements for the D.P.T. degree and the Ph.D. degree. Credit hours earned in the professional D.P.T. degree program cannot be transferred toward requirements for the Ph.D. degree. The equivalent of at least 6 years of full-time study is usually needed to fulfill the requirements for both degrees.

To view detailed information on admission to the D.P.T./Ph.D. combined degree program, please visit the program's website.
