Degree programs designed to fit your career

KU offers highly ranked degree programs in history; political science; public administration; Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies; and many other fields. KU’s proximity to the Army’s Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth has also yielded specialized, research-intensive degree programs.

The Army Wounded Warrior Education Initiative allows injured soldiers to apply for admission to KU in partnership with the Army. When they complete their graduate degrees, the soldiers work for the Army, which will benefit from their education and experience.

The Master of Science in Business with a Supply Chain Management and Logistics concentration is for Army Majors and Major-eligible Captains. This degree offers an excellent military supply chain education to officers, with a broader, civilian economy focus for those who plan to pursue logistics careers after military service. The one-year program is taught at Fort Leavenworth by KU faculty and adjuncts.

The specialized master’s degree in Global and International Studies with a concentration in Interagency Studies focuses on the nature of interagency cooperation, organizational cultures in the U.S. government, organizational behavior, and related topics. This new interdisciplinary program is offered for Army Special Forces Operations officers. Courses are taught at Fort Leavenworth and on KU’s Lawrence campus.

The interdisciplinary M.A. program in Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies is tailored for Army Foreign Area Officers (FAOs). This high-quality, low-cost program is an attractive choice for officers who seek advanced knowledge of the languages and cultures of these regions.
