KU Graduate School Fellowships
Qualified REES students are also eligible to be nominated for awards offered through the KU Graduate School. For more information about these awards, contact the KU Graduate School. Honors/First Year Fellowships
These competitive awards provide a full tuition waiver as well as a $14,000 stipend for the first year of graduate study. The awards are not renewable. The REES program will nominate a student to the Graduate School if the strength of that student's record merits consideration.
Harry S. Truman Good Neighbor Foundation
The REES program may also nominate two continuing students for awards offered through the Harry S. Truman Good Neighbor Foundation: The Jerry Smith Scholarship for International Studies and the Eddie Jacobsen Memorial Foundation Scholarship. These two awards of $1,000 are for one year and are non-renewable. Applicants must pursue courses of study in international relations and diplomacy and demonstrate potential for a career in international service.
