KU Debate to Hold Third Reunion
KU debate alumni will gather for a third debate reunion October 19-21, 2007. Various events, including an opening dinner honoring the current debate squad and two-time national coach of the year Scott Harris, a roast of long-time Director of Forensics, Donn Parson, and an audience debate involving current squad members, are planned. There will be plenty of opportunities for socializing and meeting current debaters and coaches as well. For additional information and an invitation to the reunion please check the attached document.

The University of Kansas has one of the richest collegiate debate traditions in the nation. Since 1895, KU debaters have won more than 11,000 debates and collected over 2,500 awards, including:
- #1 among Public Universities in National Debate Tournament (NDT) Appearances
- 4 NDT National Championships
- 13 NDT Final Fours
- 36 Consecutive NDT Appearances
- #5 in 2003-2004 Final National NDT Rankings
In 2004, the KU squad, led by Dr. Scott Harris, once again qualified two teams for the NDT, extending a streak that dates back to 1968.
