Study Abroad Program


Communication Studies classes also are offered at KU's campus in Paderno, Italy, as part of the Consortium of Universities for International Studies.

The Consortium provides undergraduate and graduate level programs for students interested in internationalizing their education. These programs offer students credit toward their current degrees. Thus, students not only gain valuable international experience, but move toward graduation at their home institution. Courses are offered in the areas of Business, Journalism, and Communications Studies. Communication Studies courses offered in previous semesters have covered such topics as business communication, mediated communication, organizational systems, and leadership.

Beyond the credits students receive from the program, there is a strong focus on the cultural experience. Courses are scheduled to encourage travel opportunities for students. Convenient rail connections from Venice allow visits to locations in Italy, France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria and many Eastern European countries. Presentations on the European Union, European businesses and culture are integrated into the program.
