University of Kansas Support Staff Senate
Definition of USS Work Group:
Works with University administration to provide input regarding policies and procedures for the University Support Staff. For example, the group annually reviews the procedures and effectiveness of the Disciplinary Action Hearing Board. There are 5 USS members, one of which is the USS Senate President. Any USS member who has permanent status and has been for the last 5 years is eligible. Terms are 3 years and service is by appointment of the USS Senate President. Terms are staggered so that no more than 2 members change each year.
