and personal use.
Make an appointment with your faculty advisor to confirm completion
of graduation requirements. Review your ARTS form to clarify remaining
requirements, clear incompletes, and confirm that transfer and Independent
Study course work is received. There are deadlines!
Check hours and Junior/Senior (300-600) hours to be sure you will meet
minimum requirements.
If applicable, meet with your minor advisor to confirm minor requirements.
File your Application for Degree, available in 109 Strong Hall, Major
Certification Sheet, Board of Regents Survey, and Minor Certification
(if applicable). There are deadlines!
You should plan to be ready to file in the term before
you plan to graduate.
Complete your resume and cover letter to prepare for your job search.
Visit University Career Center (UCC), 110 Burge Union, http://www.kucareerhawk.com
to register for on-campus interviews. (Register early - most campus interviews
are held in late fall and early spring) for help in researching careers
and to schedule a mock interview in order to practice your interviewing
skills.
Consider taking LA&S 492 - Job Strategies for Liberal Arts and Sciences
students, taught by the director and associate director of UCC.
Plan to attend the Career Fair in early February sponsored by the University
Career Center
Update your campus address (where you'll receive mail while school is
in session). You may do this on the web at: http://www.registrar.ku.edu/current/updateinfo.shtml
or the Registrar's Office, 151 Strong Hall.
If needed, make hotel arrangements for your family for graduation weekend.
Do this at the beginning of your senior year - they fill up quickly!
