If you have not already done so, it is vital to declare your major in
your CLAS Department or apply to a professional school. Recheck requirements
and change of school application deadlines. Major declaration forms are
available your department. Requires faculty signature.
Declare a minor in the department office, if applicable. B.A., B.G.S.
and B.S. students have the option to complete a minor. Minor declaration
forms are available in minor department. Requires faculty signature.
If you have not finalized a major, talk with advisors in your areas
of interest, and visit the University
Career Center for help in researching and choosing a major.
Make an advising appointment with a faculty member in your department.
Don't know where to start? Contact the department's Undergraduate
Coordinator.
Review your ARTS form to clarify remaining requirements and confirm
that transfer coursework shows.
Check your total junior/senior hours (courses numbered 300-699, J on
the right of class on ARTS form). All KU undergraduate degrees require
a minimum of 40 hours of junior/senior credit for students whose initial
KU term was prior to Fall 2003. Beginning Fall 2003 a minimum
of 45 junior/senior credit hours is required. "Jr/Sr hrs needed"
is at top middle of ARTS form in bold print.
