Assistant Dean Erin Spiridigliozzi came to the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at the University of Kansas in 1984. Dr. Spiridigliozzi’s responsibilities as assistant dean are to oversee the recruitment of faculty and unclassified professional staff, develop faculty and staff professional development programs, and administer personnel policies and procedures for faculty and professional staff in the College.

Dr. Spiridigliozzi has served on a variety of task forces at KU, including the Initiative 2001 Serve Kansans and the Public Service Task Force. Dr. Spiridigliozzi formerly directed KU’s Wheat State Whirlwind Tour, a development program designed to provide faculty with an intensive educational experience about the state of Kansas, its people, and its heritage. In 1997 and 1998, the tour garnered a gold award in the Council for the Advancement of Secondary Education’s District VI competition in the category of Institutional Advancement Relations Project.

Dr. Spiridigliozzi earned her B.S. degree from the University of Maryland, a B.A. degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and her M.S.Ed. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Kansas. Dr. Spiridigliozzi has conducted research in the areas of women's advancement and career pathing issues in higher education administration. She is currently completing advanced postgraduate study toward certification as a Master Personal and Executive Coach.
