Nanotechnology--The Smallest BIG Idea in Science!
Games, prizes, and activities for the whole family! The 17th Annual Carnival of Chemistry will be held in Malott Hall on the KU Main Campus from 1 to 4 PM on Sunday, November 18th. We look forward to presenting the award-winning Spectrapult, Popcorn Room, festive face painting, and several new exhibits highlighting the chemistry of soft drinks. The Carnival will also feature a nanotechnology/engineering activity room coordinated by Prof. Cindy Berrie and several KU colleagues from Physics, Biology, and Chemical Engineering.  Free admission, free parking Flyer

Congrats to Megan Watson for being named one of the ten finalists for KU’s 22nd annual Excellence in Community, Education and Leadership Awards.  Megan, from Overland Park, is a senior majoring in Chemistry and English, and is a 2012 KU Woman of Distinction. On October 27, at the KU homecoming football game, the two winners will announced who will receive a $500 scholarship. Follow this link for the complete KU News Release.
