Dr. Janet Marquis, University of Kansas, is Director of the Research Design and Analysis Unit of the Schiefelbusch Institute for Life Span Studies. In this position, she is responsible for conducting statistical analyses, assisting researchers in the design of studies including power analyses, and writing methods and results sections for publications. She also oversees the design and management of research databases. Dr. Marquis received a Ph.D. in Educational Research and an M.S. in Computer Science. Prior to assuming her current position, she was Director of Information Systems and Computing for the Kansas Department of Health and Environment. She has nearly twenty years experience as a statistical and database consultant. Her areas of expertise include mixed models (hierarchical linear models, random coefficients models, and growth curve models), structural equation modeling, time series analysis, and a variety of multivariate statistical techniques. |
