Research Interests: Language development across the life-span with emphasis on age-related changes in adults' language. How subtle impairments of working memory affect language complexity in adults ages 60 to 90. Linguistic and cognitive changes in older adults, including adults with Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s. Communication between older adults and young adults, peers, and caregivers. How print and broadcast media could be adjusted to take into account normal changes in working memory with age.
