The archaeological collections are comprised of several components, including but not limited to artifacts, photographs, documentation, associated historical documents, publications, and reports.  The ARC has developed standards and guidelines for the curation of the archaeological collections with the explicit goal of maintaining the long-term preservation of the various archaeological components while allowing access for research and education.  The ARC standards are in accordance with the Federal regulations issued as 36CFR Part 79: Curation of Federally-Owned and Administered Archaeological Collections.
