Multicultural Africana Scholars Program (MASP)

The MASP, directed by Diane Fourny, is our branch of the Multicultural Scholars Programs at KU. The MASP is a scholarship and mentoring program for freshman, sophomore and transfer students from under-represented groups. A student in the MASP receives a scholarship and joins a community of students and professors determined to make the freshman and sophomore transition from the high school to KU a smooth one. The program addresses academic, social, and personal aspects of the student's experiences at KU and assists the willing student to obtain the maximum benefits of a college education during the undergraduate years. The MASP offers support until the student graduates. The program is designed for academically well-prepared students who have a strong interest in African and African-American Studies.
