Careers
Many cadets enter AFROTC with an interest in becoming a pilot or navigator. Cadets competing for pilot or navigator slots are considered during their third semester prior to graduation. They are judged on grades, physical fitness tests, medical examinations, Air Force Officer Qualifying Test (AFOQT) scores, and their commander's recommendations. Cadets selected to be pilots or navigators begin flight training shortly after graduating.
There are many careers in the Air Force. Cadets can go on to become anything from a civil engineer to special investigator, from a dentist to a missile maintenance technician. An Air Force career is exciting and rewarding.
