Junior Faculty Development Program

Junior Faculty Development Program

This program will provide you with a variety of experiences and study opportunities to prepare you for the demands of your studies in the U.S. Through structured and informal learning activities, you will enhance your English skills, deepen your understanding of American society and the parameters of research activities, and get to know the American Midwest and its citizens. To assist you in your adjustment to the American cultural reality, cross-cultural awareness and an appreciation of the dimensions of cultural diversity in the U.S. will be a component of the program. You will also have opportunities to meet a variety of members of the university faculty and local community in support of this intellectual and personal adjustment.

The United States Department of State funds the JFDP Language Training Program, and the American Councils for International Education is responsible for the administration of the program.
