Title: W.T. Kemper Fellowship received by Political Science professorDate: 09/21/2007
Text:
Professor Paul Johnson received a W.T. Kemper Fellowship for Teaching Excellence this fall, recognizing his excellence in teaching and advising at the graduate level. The awards were established by a $500,000 fund from the William T. Kemper Foundation-Commerce Bank, Trustee, and $500,000 in matching funds from the KU Endowment Association.
Title: Middle East Faculty PositionDate: 08/30/2007
Text: The Department of Political Science at the University of Kansas invites applications for a tenure-track, Assistant Professor position in Middle East Politics beginning August 18, 2008, January 1, 2009, or negotiable. Specific research interests are open, and could include political behavior within or between one or more Middle Eastern or North African states. Candidates are expected to have done significant fieldwork in the region, as well as having language and methodological training appropriate to the focus of their research. The University is designated a Title VI National Resource Center in African Studies. Salary is competitive with those at other research universities. Applicants must have a Ph.D., ABD, or terminal degree in Political Science or a related discipline by start date of appointment. Title: Political Science Lecturer position - OngoingDate: 04/26/2007
Text: Limited term, non-tenure track position pool on on-going basis. Required qualifications: Either a completed Ph.D. in political science or individuals who are ABD in political science, or closely related field; some documented college-level teaching experience in political science. The duties of this position include teaching 1-3 courses (25%-75%) per semester in the area of either American Politics, International Relations, Comparative Politics, Public Policy or Political Theory or some combination of the above. Applications are accepted on-going and will continue for two years from date of advertisement.
