This mentoring program offers many ways for individual volunteers to work with children and youth. Volunteers can become a "Big" who spends two hours or more per week with a "Little." Or volunteers can work with another person to become a "Big Couple" to mentor a single "Little." With the Bigs in Schools program, volunteers spend thirty minutes to one hour with a kid at school each week eating lunch, tutoring, or hanging out. All volunteers go throught a screening process before being matched and must attend a short thirty minute orientation to the program before completing an application. Orientations are held every Tuesday at 5:15 p.m. and every Wednesday at noon. No RSVP necessary.
