Super Service Saturday

Volunteers collect trash at Clinton Lake. Nearly 200 KU students volunteered at Lawrence locations including Pioneer Ridge, Hidden Valley, Lawrence Community Shelter, Lawrence Public Library, Lawrence Arts Center, Campus Garden, Rain Garden, and Lawrence Family Promise.

Campus Garden

At the campus garden students work together to grow and donate organic produce to local food pantries (Just Food). The garden provides the opportunity to get outside, work in the fresh air, and give back to the Lawrence Community in the process.

You can become a part of the CCO family! Pick up your application for Executive and Managing Director, Communication Director, Development Director and Program Coordinator at Room 405 in the Kansas Union or email cco@ku.edu. Applications will be done on March 9th for Directors, March 16th for Communications and Development and April 10th for Program Coordinators.

Feb 14, 2012 German Storytime Students Tutoring for Literacy

Stories and lively entertainment for learners and speakers of all ages, presented by Friedemann Eisert, retired German teacher from Lawrence Public Schools. A great opportunity to learn German and spend an afternoon with a friend or tutoring buddy!

Feb 14, 2012 Jubilee Cafe Jubilee Cafe

Jubilee runs Tuesdays and Friday mornings. Coordinators arrive at 5:00am and volunteers are welcome anytime after that. We prepare and cook the food from 5:00am-7:00am. Then, guests arrive at 7:00am and we serve them until about 8:00am. We are all cleaned up and finished around 8:30. (Best times to arrive: 5:15am for cooking, 6:30am for serving.) There's no need to sign up, you can just show up whenever you'd like!

Plymouth Congregational Church holds a lecture event for ESL student or people wanting to volunteer with ESL students.
