Web Hosting


Web Development & Interface Design provides central web hosting services to meet various campus needs.
Departmental Web Hosting
Departments, projects, labs, and other official KU academic and administrative units are eligible for 500 MB of web hosting space on either www2.ku.edu or web.ku.edu depending on the intended use. Additional storage space can be arranged to meet departmental needs. In addition to web hosting, approved departmental accounts may also obtain database services on either mysqldb.cc.ku.edu or Oracle. To request a departmental account, please complete this form.

Personal Web Hosting
KU faculty, staff, students and approved affiliates are eligible for 50 MB of personal web hosting space on people.ku.edu. Learn more about the memorandum of understanding or sign-up online.

Groups Web Hosting
Groups registered with the Student Involvement and Leadership Center (SILC) are eligible for 200 MB of web hosting space on groups.ku.edu. For more information about group registration or to request an account, please contact SILC at orgs@ku.edu.
